The Turkish Food Codex Materials and Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Food was prepared based on (EC) No. 1935/2004 and published in the Turkish Official Journal No: 28157 on 29 December 2011. The Regulation covers general requirements for all types of food contact materials (“FCM)” and applies to all “Materials and articles: already in contact with food intended to be brought into contact with food expected to come into contact with food or transfer their components to foods. The Regulation on Registration Process of Food Contact Materials and Articles Producers and Good Manufacturing Practice ( “GMP Regulation” ) was prepared based on (EC) No. 2023/2006 and published in the Turkish Official Journal No: 28373 on 3 August 2012.
